One of the main DLG Legal Services strategic aims is to develop and build our own talent, and a key element of this is access to Professional Qualifications.
Direct Line Group sets aside a central annual budget for funding Professional Qualifications for staff, and we in DLG Legal Services have an allocated share of this. We have a DLG Legal Services Professional Qualifications Champion that we can approach for this, they ensure that our professional development needs are catered for as much as possible.
Since 2014 DLG have funded a number of people through CILEX study, and continue to support those who are undertaking the qualification. We have also funded Institute of Legal Secretaries Qualifications and a Financial Management Qualification.
We also have iLearn modules that our staff can access on a daily basis, both in and out of work, which allows us to gain further knowledge and understanding on particular subjects. I personally have shown an interest in the Risk and Compliance aspect to the business and have studied the modules on this.
It’s a really positive thing for us to be able to develop our people towards Professional Qualifications and something that we take full advantage of.
