Hi Ross, there are a few things I would do before you apply. Get a good feel for the business, we are very proud of our culture and the team do so much. Our social media channels are a great way to see more and keep up to date with what is going on.
When you do go through the recruitment process it is then a case of doing the normal research and learning more about the business, the values and our brands.
If you do have a specific question about the Graduate programme reach out to our Grads on here and ask them anything you would like to know. Hope this helps :)
Do you have any tips for video interview preparations?
Hi Isaiah, in our Video Interview we're looking to find out more about you and your motivations. Really think about why you've applied for the specific role and why you chose to apply to DLG. Think about what you can bring to the role, what you're going to enjoy and what you want to get out of it. We'll also ask you some competency questions where we are looking for a specific example from your past experiences. These questions are based around our company values so make sure you have a good understanding of these and you could start to think about examples that would fit into these values. Hope that helps!
Please what is your advice for an international student who just graduated and is applying for the graduate scheme?
Hi there. Firstly it's great that you have chosen to apply for the DLG Graduate Scheme, being an international student. Make sure you check out our eligibility criteria before applying to make sure you have the right level of degree, are able to relocate and you have proof of right to work in the UK. We are a diverse and inclusive employer and therefore understand that having people on the scheme from a range of different backgrounds can help us continue to progress and grow as an organisation. I would recommend that you be yourself throughout the recruitment process, be honest about your strengths and your development area's and let your personality shine through.
