A typical day can vary quite a lot daily and weekly.
Mondays typically tend to be reporting days, where the mornings are spent looking back on the previous weeks stats and creating MI, while the afternoons are spent putting in place actions to improve or adapt performance.
Tuesday mornings we report these stats and actions back to other stakeholders ready to be shared with the wider business later that day.
The rest of the week I primarily focus on key projects I am working on, or developing and maintaining the relationships we have with our affiliates.
Direct Line Group are keen for us to focus on personal development so I personally set aside a few hours a week to ensure I work on tasks for personal development, and read up or attend events to keep my industry knowledge current.
Within marketing we also have a weekly ‘huddle’ where someone will present something to the rest of the department or we’ll have people come in and talk to us. It’s a great way of getting us all together and learning something new.
